Bernadette Dezzara (born on February 28, 1948, on the 28th of February 1948 in Ozone Park Queens New York) is a famous American actress, singer and author of children's tales. Her work spans more than five decades, and encompasses TV, musical theatre, solo concerts, and recording. She's been nominated to seven Tony Awards and won two and eight Drama Desk Awards. Grammy Awards have been won with four Broadway recording of cast performances that Peters' role was featured on. Peters was first on stage as a kid, then when she was a teenager, in the 1960s. Later in the 70s, she began acting in films and TV. Her work was widely praised for her first work, as well as her appearances in The Muppet Show The Carol Burnett Show and other TV shows and also for her role in movies like Silent Movie The Jerk Pennies from Heaven and Annie. Her return to Broadway during the 1980s in which she was the most famous Broadway star for the next thirty years. She also has recorded 6 solo albums as well as several singles, in addition to several cast albums. In addition, she performs regularly in her own solo show. Peters is also a regular performer in television and film and has been nominated for 3 Emmy Awards and three Golden Globe Awards which she has won one time.
