Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 - Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is a quiet town that is located on the West Island, which is part of the Montreal island. The West Island can be confusing to those unfamiliar of its purpose. Many people believe that it is an island to the west of Montreal However, it is actually a part of the city. West Island encompasses everything between the two cities that are Lachine and West. Amanda Brugel is said to be born on the West Island. However, this is not true. Brugel was raised in Courtice outside Oshawa Ontario. She wanted to become professional, however because of a huge increase in her height, she outgrew every dance partner she met. She admitted in an article published by The Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall, even when she wears heels. Once I surpassed the size of my male friends and stopped dancing, I quit. There are many dancers who make the move to acting. As for Bruce, it was her drama instructor who pushed her in that direction. The teacher who suggested she take on a part in the annual school production. She auditioned and was cast in the role of Anne of Green Gables. The show led her to receive the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship from York University. In 2000, she received her Master of Fine Arts at York University. Through the years that followed, Brugel has been offered roles in more than 60 productions on both small and large screens drawing the most attention when she landed the role of Rita on the award-winning series The Handmaid's Tale (pictured below). Brugel, the only Canadian on the season 1 cast of the show and only seen occasionally was the only Canadian.

Aisha Jamila Hinds was born in the United States and is well-known for her part on The Shield. Her versatility has been demonstrated in 2003 with her impressive performances in TV shows like 9-1-1 Detroit as well as 1-8-7 and Under the Dome.
